South Park Temporary Closure
March 14 - March 15
The Montour Trail will be closed between the Stewart Road parking area and the South Park connector (MP36.7 to 36.9) on Tuesday, March 14 and possibly March 15. A large excavator will be brought in on a lowboy trailer to perform stream bank protection about 900 feet east of Stewart Road. The lowboy will be parked at the Stewart Trailhead, so the parking area will be closed. Triaxle trucks will bring in loads of stone, so the trail will be crowded with moving vehicles and active machinery. Trail users should avoid that trail section during the work.
