Westland Trail Repair

This week, the MTC maintenance crew is repairing storm-damaged trail sections in the Upper Weavertown section of the Westland branch, near MM W-1. Be alert to the presence of heavy equipment, such as tractors and steamrollers, for they are bigger than you.

Trail Construction & Repair

You may have noticed that spring storms did a fair amount of damage along the Montour Trail. Our volunteers are hard at repairing that damage. Please use caution on the trail, as these areas are being repaired as fast as possible. FYI, in spring in western PA, storm damage is a part of the norm, branches, ruts, and washouts happen every year, although this spring’s abnormally high precipitation rate has been hard on many trail sections.
