TRAIL ALERT: MM 1.6 and 4.5, Airport area (Moon and Robinson) Recent heavy rains have damaged sewage pipes along Montour Run Stream. Both Moon and Robinson municipal authorities are working with contractors to make needed repairs. Be cautious in these areas, as there may be temporary ramps, bypass sections of pipe laying across the trail, and work crews with trucks and heavy equipment. On Saturday, April 18 at 10:00 AM, a blessing of bicycles and their riders will take place at mile zero of the Montour Trail in Moon Twp. (near Coraopolis). Bicyclists of every faith are invited. Duquesne Light is replacing transmission lines and towers near Hassam Road (MM 1.4), so there may be temporary closures in that area, especially in late summer-early fall 2025 and again in spring 2026. Be cautious from MM .8 to 1.4; follow all wa+rnings on signage as well as verbal instructions from construction flaggers.
