Duquesne Light is replacing transmission lines and towers near Hassam Road (MM 1.4), so there may be temporary closures in that area, especially in late summer-early fall 2025 and again in spring 2026. Be cautious from MM .8 to 1.4; follow all wa+rnings on signage as well as verbal instructions from construction flaggers.

Because of a water-main leak under Montour Trail at MM 34 in Peters Township, the PA American Water Company needs to completely close the trail there beginning Monday, June 15. Workers will install barricades and fencing, and there will be no passage around the work site. The extent/time frame of the closure will be known only after an inspection reveals the actual damage.
A one-month closure of the Great Allegheny Passage trail starting next month in West Mifflin is a prelude to an $8 million project to fix multiple landslides. A 2-mile section of the trail, near milepost 137, will close completely from the evening of July 9 to Aug. 6 for a scaling project to remove loose rocks from the hill above the trail.
