Volunteer Opportunities – Tour the Montour

Please consider signing up to volunteer for the Tour the Montour. We have opportunities before, during and after the Tour. If you find a category that you are interested in & it is already filled, e-mail us at thetour@montourtrail.org and we will try to accommodate your request

Opportunities Prior to the Tour

Basket Wrapping - 9-10-24, Tuesday; 9:30 - 2 p: Montour Trail Office 2589 Boyce Plaza Road, Pgh, PA15241 : NEED 6 PEOPLE Wrap and decorate pre organized prize baskets
Goodie Bag Packing - 9/18/2024, Wednesday; 3:30 - 6:30pm: Gateway Engineering: 100 McMorris Road, Pgh, PA 15205: NEED 14 PEOPLE Place donated items into 450 Goodie bags for riders
Packet Pick-up - 9-19-24, Thursday; 4:30p - 8pm: Trek of Robinson: 6514 Steubenville Pike, Pittsburgh, PA 15205: NEED 8 PEOPLE Greet and check-in riders that are preregistered and provide goodie bag, rider number, meal bracelet, t-shirt to riders
Luncheon Set-up - 9-20-24, Friday; 8am- 3pm: Forest Grove Sportsmans Club, 20 Hickman Road (Off Hassam Road), Coraopolis, Pa 15108: NEED 14 PEOPLE set up chairs & tables, put tablecloths on tables, set up basket prizes, prep lunch line, stock food in fridge
Rest Stop Supply Preparation - 9-20-24, Friday; 10 -2 pm: Forest Grove Sportsmans Club 20 Hickman Road (Off Hassam Road), Coraopolis, Pa 15108: NEED 2 PEOPLE Divide up snacks for 4 rest stops and assist with loading into cars as reststop Captains arrive
Home Baked Cookies : 3 Dozen 9-20-24, Friday; 10-2pm ; NEED 30 PEOPLE

Home Baked Cookies : 3 Dozen 9-20-24, Friday; 10-2pm ; NEED 30 PEOPLE: Bake your favorite cookies for our riders. Please package in a disposable container Please label top of container with Your Name, Number of dozen of cookies If you are inclined to make more than 3 dozen, please sign up for a second spot, so we know you are bringing more 3 doz. Registration

9-21-24, Saturday, 5:30am - 8:30am - DAY OF BIKE RIDE: AHN Montour Sports Complex 2419 State Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108: NEED 12 PEOPLE set up tables for registration, check people in, provide t-shirts, take accept money

Luncheon

9AM - 1PM 9-21-24 and 20 Hickman Rd (Off Hassam) Coraopolis, Pa 15108
11AM- 3PM 9-21-24 and 20 Hickman Rd (Off Hassam) Coraopolis, Pa 15108

Set out food, restock as food dwindles, serve some food on plates, monitor tables and wipe-up spills as riders leave, collect food wristbands

Handle Donations for Raffle tickets for major prizes and basket donations during Luncheon

9-21-24, Saturday; 10am- 3pm: Forest Grove Sportsmans Club, Hassam Road NEED 4 PEOPLE

Offer basket raffle tickets to riders that come in and offer tickets for major prize donations. Contact winners by phone.

Clean-Up (9-21-24 2-5pm)

20 Hickman Road (Off Hassam Road), Coraopolis, Pa 15108: NEED 6 PEOPLE

Tear down tables and chairs, gather up trash can contents and put into trash bin. Other general clean-up.
