A streambank stabilization project will take place late July through mid August on Montour Trail along Sawmill Run. There will be heavy equipment at the work site, including large excavators and trucks that will come and go throughout the workday between 7am and 5pm. Temporary stoppage of trail traffic is likely. Please use caution in that area and heed the signs/flaggers' warnings.
Along the Airport connector, construction begins in early August to replace the Clinton Enlow Bridge, which is near MM 1. The work will run through late November/early December. This portion of the Montour Trail will remain OPEN at all times throughout construction for pedestrian traffic only. The bridge will be closed for motor vehicles throughout construction.
The Montour Trail Maintenance Crew will be moving their base of operation from the Limestone trailhead to the Irishtown trailhead starting on Monday 8/4/2025. To accommodate the material and equipment needed to resurface the trail, the Irishtown parking lot will be CLOSED to trail users until work is completed on this section of the trail.
