JEFFERSON HILLS, Pa. — Two weekend closures of Route 51 in Jefferson Hills are planned for bridge beam installation as part of the Mon-Fayette Expressway project, according to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Penny Day: Cecil Friends
Cecil Friends Group will hold its inaugural "Penny Day" on Saturday, August 31. Volunteers will accept donations of pennies, other change, and large bills at three spots on the trail: Tandem Connection (near trail mile marker 27) Kurnick trailhead (near mile marker 25) Prudence Bridge near the McConnell Trails development (mile marker 24) Please support this important fundraiser because all proceeds will be used to maintain the Cecil Friends section of the Montour.
