The Peters Township Friends group maintains MM 28.5-30.4, Library Junction-near MM 35, and part of the Bethel Park branch. It meets on non-holidays at various locations depending on weather and time of year. Work and clean-up parties take place on the first Friday and third Saturday of every month at 8:30 am. Bethel Park Friends maintain the 2.75-mile Bethel Branch and a short piece of main line trail around MM 35. The group meets in the Caucus Room behind Bethel Park's Council Chambers. Anyone interested in the this segment is encouraged to attend. The Airport Area Friends group maintains Trail MM 0 to 12.6 as well as the 6-mile Airport Connector. New volunteers are always welcome. Contact Mark Modispacher at 412-266-1544 for more information. The South Hills Friends group maintains MM 35.4-46.6 It meets in the Community Room or the Library in South Park Township. Work and cleanup parties occur on the second Saturday of the month.
